Step into the magic of Margaret River’s night skies with local photographer and storyteller, Alice Love - at a breathtaking location, and an intimate group size for a night that will ignite your creativity and deepen your connection to the stars.

This 3-hour workshop is designed for photographers of all levels who want to capture the stunning night sky, including beginners, intermediate and experienced creatives who need a boost of inspiration or want to try something different

Alice’s deep local knowledge and passion for the stars ensure you’re perfectly positioned to create stunning images and unforgettable memories. They will guide you through the best techniques and locations, tailoring the experience to the unique conditions of the night.

This workshop is limited to just 6 participants, ensuring an intimate and personalised experience under the stars.

You will also receive a high-resolution silhouette portrait of you with your camera under the stars (see example image)

Once booked, Alice will contact you to confirm all details and ensure you’re ready for an unforgettable experience under the South West skies.

While there’s a chance of aurora activity tonight, these natural phenomena are unpredictable—so while we can’t guarantee it, we’ll be ready to capture the magic if it appears!

WHAT TO BRING | Night

  • camera (preferably full frame)
  • tripod
  • lens (f/1.8-f./2.8 but f/3.5-f/4 can still work) 
  • memory card
  • 1-2 batteries
  • warm clothing
  • insect repellent
  • a sense of adventure 
  • prescription glasses 

OPTIONAL (but recommended)

  • remote or intervalometer
  • head torch preferably with red light
  • comfortable camping chair
  • night sky apps such as Star Walk 2 

CANCELLATION POLICY

For Cancellations Made More Than 48 Hours Before the Workshop:
Cancellations made with more than 48 hours' notice will receive a 50% refund. Alternatively, participants can choose to reschedule to a later date (subject to availability) without penalty.

For Cancellations Made Within 48 Hours of the Workshop:
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the workshop are non-refundable. This policy reflects the time and resources allocated to preparing your session and the inability to fill your spot at short notice.

Non-Refundable Payment Policy:
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your spot. This payment is non-refundable under any circumstances except in the case of workshop cancellation by the organiser (see below).

Weather or Other Unforeseen Conditions:
In cases of weather conditions that could impact safety or the quality of the experience (e.g., high winds, rain, or equipment-damaging conditions), the workshop may be rescheduled to the next available date.

  • Notification: Participants will be notified as soon as possible of any changes.

  • Rescheduling Policy: If a participant cannot attend the rescheduled date, they will receive a credit valid for 90 days to apply to a future workshop. Refunds will not be issued for rescheduled workshops.

  • Workshops are planned on short notice to account for weather and celestial conditions. Your understanding of these factors is appreciated.

  • Celestial events like comets and auroras are unpredictable. While we aim to provide the best experience, we cannot guarantee specific phenomena.
